‘Agent Carter’ Season 1 Spoilers: Which Marvel Legend Will Make A Cameo?
“Marvel’s Agent Carter” just nabbed another big Marvel guest star -- Stan Lee. The Marvel Comics’ founder will make his guest appearance in episode 4, Comic Book Movie reports.
The new ABC show follows Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), Captain America’s former flame, as she works for the Strategic Scientific Reserve in 1946. Many don’t want to see a woman doing men’s work, so Agent Carter is stuck in a desk job. When Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) needs help after he is framed, he knows that Agent Carter is the only person for the job.
Lee made the announcement during an event for former Marvel Editor-In-Chief Roy Thomas’ new book “75 Years of Marvel: From the Golden Age to the Silver Screen.” During a Q&A session with fans, Lee mentioned the new project.
“Oh by the way, I do have a cameo in a new show coming out, a TV show called ‘Agent Carter,’ I think,” Lee told fans. “Watch for the fourth one. I think my cameo is in the fourth episode. They ought to be ashamed of themselves that they didn’t give me three others before that, but what the hell? But it’s kind of a good cameo.”
This isn’t Lee’s first time on the small screen. He guest starred in “Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 1, episode 13. Most fans know to look out for Stan Lee in any Marvel project. The writer has made over 20 cameos in superhero films not just from Marvel Studios, but also Sony and 20th Century Fox. His roles have gotten more comedic as time has gone on, going from being a bystander to being given a couple of funny lines. However, when a fan asked about Lee’s favorite cameo, he couldn’t give an answer.
“I’m not allowed to tell you my favorite one because it’s the last one I made in the ‘Avengers’ movie which didn’t come out yet,” Lee said. “But you must see ‘The Avengers’ because when you see that cameo, it’s Oscar time. It gives me a chance to show my acting chops, you know? So don’t miss ‘The Avengers.’”
