“Marvel’s Agent Carter” is gearing up for a January premiere and the series is revealing even more footage of Peggy Carter’s (Hayley Atwell) adventures. The new trailer for the ABC show focuses heavily on Agent Carter’s life as a spy.

The Marvel series will follow Captain America’s old flame Peggy Carter as she moves on with her life after he is frozen. Carter still works for the government's Scientific Strategic Reserve, but the men aren’t willing to give her their jobs. They don’t believe she can do much.

“I didn’t know our government had such good taste in secretaries. What’s your name, darling?” someone asks.

“Agent,” Peggy replies.

She isn’t fooling around. As in previous promos, Agent Carter is shown in a lot of action scenes, but this commercial shows Peggy undercover. She’ll be taking a page out of Sydney Bristow’s book and putting on a wig and accent for a mission. A blonde Agent Carter is asked to dance, but she refuses.

“I’m afraid I’d only step on your toes,” she says, dropping her British accent for an American one.

Maybe she’s still saving a dance for Captain America, but her ex seems to be the furthest thing from her mind. Peggy seems to be keeping busy with plenty of spy work. She fights, shoots a machine gun and jumps onto a moving car. It seems she’ll find work for herself even if the boys won’t give her much to do.

Although the promo is heavy on girl power, one man believes in Peggy. Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) will trust her to save his life. Peggy is the only one he can trust to clear his name after his weapons end up in the wrong hands.
