“Marvel’s Agent Carter” premiered with two fast-paced episodes, and it sounds like episode three will be just as action packed. Audiences know that Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) asked Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to find his dangerous weapons, but this isn’t a straightforward mission. Jarvis’ (James D’Arcy) phone calls to Stark made it clear that they had ulterior motives. According to the synopsis for “Marvel’s Agent Carter” Season 1, episode 3, Peggy might learn that Howard was dishonest.

Peggy knew she would be in for some trouble with her secret missions, but she probably didn’t expect Jarvis to get arrested. The synopsis teases that her secret mission will start to "unravel" with Jarvis' detainment. As Stark’s butler, it isn’t surprising that the SSR would bring Jarvis in for questioning, but an arrest could indicate that they have actual evidence against the butler. Remember when they pulled his license plate out of the wreckage from the first nitramene blast? It looks like driving Agent Carter away from the scene will come back to haunt him.

Although Peggy would likely be able to handle herself without Jarvis, she still won’t want him in jail. She’ll have to figure out a way to get him out, but before he is released, “a secret is revealed.” Could Agent Carter find out what Stark is really up to?

The secret might change everything for Peggy. In the promo for the episode, Howard returns and Peggy is livid with him. Howard claims he was protecting her, but she might not buy that excuse. “You used me. You lied to me,” she says.
