‘Agents Of SHIELD’ Season 3 Spoilers: 3 Secret Warriors From The Comics Who Could Join Daisy’s Team
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 3 is currently on hiatus, but that won’t stop fans from speculating about the show. The ABC drama will focus more on Daisy’s (Chloe Bennet) team of Secret Warriors when it returns in March, and we’d love to see any of her teammates from the comics join her. With the addition of Slingshot, a.k.a. Yo-Yo Rodriguez (Natalia Cordova-Buckley), Daisy already has one of her comic book counterparts. We wouldn’t mind if any of these guys joined them:
1. Eden Fesi – Let’s be real: The S.H.I.E.L.D. team could use a teleporter. Even with Coulson’s fancy planes and flying car, agents always find themselves needing to make a fast escape. Eden, a.k.a. Manifold, could be a great asset. Plus, according to the Marvel Database, he has medical expertise. Realistically, the team needs as many doctors as they can get.
2. James Taylor James – A little fire manipulation could be a nice asset for Daisy. James, a.k.a. Hellfire, was a convenience store employee when Daisy caught him fighting off two muggers with his hellfire chain. Of course, Hellfire is actually a double agent for Hydra, but the show doesn’t have to follow the comics – especially since they’ve already done that betrayal storyline with Ward (Brett Dalton).
3. Jerry Sledge – The show already introduced the Absorbing Man (Brian Patrick Wade) in Season 2, so perhaps it’s time to introduce his son. Jerry, a.k.a. Stonewall, has the same powers as his father. He is super strong, difficult to injure and can absorb any element. The difference is that Jerry isn’t a villain. Trying to avoid becoming your parent seems like something Daisy could definitely relate to.
Of course, there also could be more original characters created for the show, just like Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) and Joey (Juan Pablo Raba). In any case, expect Daisy to start really focusing on the team as soon as the show returns.
“Pretty quickly we’ll see how the team is being approached and how they plan on managing this,” executive produce Jed Whedon teased to Entertainment Weekly earlier this month. “We’ll maybe meet some new characters.”
