‘Agents Of SHIELD’ Season 3 Spoilers: Episode 16 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In ‘Paradise Lost’? [VIDEO & PHOTOS]
The big secret is out on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 3. In the last episode, the team discovered that Ward’s dead body has been taken over by Hive (Brett Dalton). They’ll be on a mission to learn more about him in episode 16, but it seems like they might want to focus on Malick (Powers Boothe). The Hydra villain’s weaknesses are starting to show.
“S.H.I.E.L.D. hunts for information on their dangerous new enemy,” the ABC synopsis teases. Presumably, that refers to Hive, but he’ll be busy introducing Malick to his true form. In the promo video for the episode, titled “Paradise Lost,” Hive starts to reveal his tentacles, but it stops before audiences can see the full effect. Fans will have to tune in to see if he looks like the comic book version.

Even though the team just discovered Hive, they should still keep a close eye on Malick. He’ll be in a vulnerable position this week. “A shameful secret from Malick’s past is exposed, threatening to destroy his Hydra legacy,” the synopsis reveals.
There is no word on what that secret is, but it might involve those closest to him. His daughter Stephanie (Bethany Joy Lenz) will appear again, and another new family member, Nathaniel (Joel Dabney Courtney), will be introduced. It isn’t clear if Nathaniel is another child or someone from Malick’s past. However, it looks like audiences will be seeing plenty of the villain’s history. There is even a young version of Malick (Cameron Palatas) appearing.
Episode 16 will also include a familiar face from S.H.I.E.L.D.’s history. Whitehall (Reed Diamond) will return, and since it’s unlikely that he survived Coulson shooting him last year, it looks like he’ll be involved in Malick’s flashbacks too.
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 3, episode 16 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
