Alec Baldwin has filed a lawsuit against Wojciech Cieszkowski for defamation and false imprisonment after the latter sued Baldwin for punching him over a parking spot last year. Baldwin filed an official complaint with the New York Supreme Court on Friday, November 1.

According to USA Today, Baldwin’s lawsuit claims that he "lightly pushed" Cieszkowski in the chest and that the injuries he included in the original lawsuit were greatly exaggerated. The new lawsuit claims that Cieszkowski lied about being punched in the face.

"Hospital records and video surveillance footage prove that it was a lie," Baldwin’s lawsuit adds, stating that Cieszkowsky suffered no visible injuries like bruising or cuts. He also claims that his “'injuries' were so minor, or non-existent, that his discharge instructions were to take a single dose of Tylenol."

Cieszkowski’s lawsuit apparently led to Baldwin being imprisoned and “charged with a crime he did not commit." The original lawsuit claims that Baldwin verbally accosted Cieszkowski by standing “over his shoulder” and yelling profanities at him. This was allegedly followed by Baldwin shoving Cieszkowski in the chest before finally striking him in the face.

USA Today also reports that Baldwin pled guilty to the original crime, admitting that he harrassed Cieszkowski, but maintained that he never hit the man.

Cieszkowski’s lawyer, Doug Lieb, told USA Today that Baldwin’s lawsuit is “absurd” and is an attempt to “silence Mr. Cieszkowski."
