Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez had planned to enjoy a vacation in the South of France for her birthday this year before their split.

Lopez, 52, and Rodriguez, 46, were both in St. Tropez over the weekend. Apparently, they were supposed to celebrate her birthday there together. The exes, who called it quits in April, still pushed through with their plans but did it separately and with other companions. Lopez was there with Ben Affleck and some of their pals while Rodriguez was also with his friends and had been spotted with Melanie Collins. Rodriguez and Collins, and Lopez and Affleck even shopped on the same store just hours apart, according to Page Six.

"Jen and Alex had planned to go to the French Riviera for J. Lo’s birthday this year and neither of them changed their plans," an unnamed source told Us Weekly. "Alex didn’t know Jen would still be going, but he wasn’t phased when he found out her boat was nearby. He was distracted with his own guests."

The former MLB player celebrated his birthday on Tuesday with a trip to St. Tropez aboard the Ocean Paradise yacht, just like how Lopez did hers on Saturday. He was also photographed going down an inflatable water slide on Friday when Lopez made her romance with Affleck Instagram official.

Rodriguez went on a European yacht trip for his birthday and to celebrate his NBA ownership. He is now one of the owners of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

His nephew Nick Silva, who also works for his firm A-Rod Corp, shared a snap of their trip in his Instagram Stories. "Euro trip 2k21!" he wrote in the caption. However, the trip was reportedly a mix of business and pleasure, according to a tipster.

"A-Rod was in Europe for some business meetings," an unnamed source told Page Six, adding that he met with his family and friends on a birthday boat trip.

Rodriguez was spotted with bikini-clad women off the coast of St. Tropez on the French Riviera. They were chatting aboard a luxury floater while one of the women enjoyed a refreshing rinse in the outdoor shower.

"A-Rod is living his best single life," a source told Us Weekly. "He’s really enjoying [being] a bachelor."
