Amal Clooney’s Favorite Shoe Designer Sarah Flint Opens Store In Hollywood
Designer Sarah Flint made her Hollywood debut in Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. Her shoes adorn the feet of celebs like Amal Clooney, Blake Lively, and Alexa Chung to name a few. The 27-years-old, New York-based designer launched her collection in the fall of 2013.
The Massachusetts bred girl sells her shoes through eight Barneys New York stores currently. Sarah is a favorite of human right lawyer Amal Clooney, who has been spotted at least on three occasions wearing the designer’s Emma pumps. Her shoes are inspired by old Hollywood cons like Stanwyck, Crawford, Hayworth, Gilda, Lana.
“Amal Clooney has latched onto that shoe. She’s perfect for the brand — accessible, philanthropic, beautiful, successful,” said Sarah, who grew up in the Boston area and studied shoe design in New York and Italy. She added that those who follow her fashion, shop her designs too.
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old Amal was last spotted with her Emma pumps after meeting the Pope in May. The stylish lawyer added height to her slender frame in a pair of Emma chocolate suede block heel pumps by Sarah that featured a classic, two-inch block-heels. She paired her look with a cream silk coatdress by Balenciaga emanating a very Sixties vibe.
She and her Hollywood actor husband George Clooney were spotted leaving their hotel in Rome. Sarah’s shoes include espadrilles with an origami-like fold on the toe, ankle strap sandals in gold snake, and ivory-and-gold T-strap sandals. Her designs that have a price range of $495 to $1,800 are made in Italy.
The young designer wants to create “sexy, feminine shoes you can walk in.” Sarah added that women from her generation were “not willing to put up with uncomfortable shoes.” The inspiration behind her eponymous label has been her grandmother, who was an artist and lived in Paris.
