‘The Amazing Race’ Season 29 Star London Kaye Admits She’ll Be Very Happy With ‘Dream Partner’
The goal of doing “The Amazing Race” is to be on the team which wins $1 million in the end, but Season 29 cast member London Kaye also hopes to get another prize along with the money if she makes it to the end.
London is one of the 22 new cast members who will race for the $1 million in the 2017 season. In a pre-race interview with CBS, the 27-year-old artist from New York revealed that while her main focus is on taking home the money, she also hopes to find a “dream partner” as well.
“My ideal partner has to be strong, smart, and we can throw in funny and handsome,” she said. “It would be fantastic if I was matched up with the partner of my dreams, but my number one priority on the show is definitely going to be to win, and I don’t want any distractions. So I’m going to focus on getting to that number one spot, but if I happen to find my dream partner on the way, I’m going to be very happy about that.”
She also revealed that she finds the season’s new twist, where the cast will pair off as teams in a schoolyard pick at the starting line, both exciting and slightly terrifying.

“My initial reaction when I found out a stranger was going to be my partner is a little bit excited, but also quite nervous, because I know that I am really strong and that I can carry my own,” she said. “But it’s a partnership, so if I have somebody that is maybe a little lazy or not focused, it could be interesting.”
Whoever she winds up partnered with though, London assures she will likely not be too high-strung, because of her roots as a California girl.
“I’m from California. I grew up in L.A. so I feel like now, I’m a perfect blend of East Coast, West Coast,” the Brooklyn-based contestant said. “I grew up on the beach, and I feel like that calm, cool and chill Californian is always a part of me.”
“The Amazing Race” Season 29 premieres Thursday, March 30 at 10 p.m. EDT on CBS.
