Amazon Studios To Release 'Justin Bieber: Our World' Next Month
Justin Bieber fans, it’s time to rejoice! A new documentary on the Canadian singer is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video next month.
“Justin Bieber: Our World” will give us a glimpse of the behind the scene action of the pop star’s New Year’s Eve concert that took place on the rooftop of the Beverly Hilton. The star performed in front of 240 invited guests and the show was also live-streamed across the world.
The documentary also delves deep into the life of the pop star and introduces us to his inner circle. It even captures a few precious moments between Bieber with his wife, Hailey.
“The film follows Bieber and his close-knit team in the month leading up to [T-Mobile Presents New Year’s Eve Live with Justin Bieber] as they rehearse and construct a monumental stage while adhering to strict health and safety protocols,” the description for the movie reads.
Directed by Michael D. Ratner, who previously executively produced and directed Youtube Originals’ “Justin Bieber: Seasons and its follow-up, “Next Chapter,” the documentary is slated to release in more than 240 countries on Oct. 8.
“Filmmaker Michael D. Ratner has beautifully captured Justin’s spirit through rare moments both on and off stage. We are excited to invite Bieber fans around the world to experience what is a truly intimate portrayal of one of the world’s most iconic musicians,” Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, said. The documentary gives the fans a “raw” and “unprecedented” view of the Canadian pop star, which is not something they get to see often, she added.
In a statement, Bieber said that he enjoys performing live as it helps him connect with his fans on a deeper level through music.
“Especially during the past year, being able to provide a service and share my gifts to bring some happiness to people during such a sad and scary time has meant the world to me. This film documents an intense and exciting time, preparing for a return to the stage during this season of real uncertainty.”
“Coming together with my team, overcoming the obstacles, and delivering a special show, surrounded by friends and family; it’s all here,” he added.
Bieber recently climbed up to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the second time for “Stay,” his collaborative single with The Kid LAROI.
