‘American Horror Story: 1984’ — Meet Season 9 Cast Before FX Premiere
The “American Horror Story: 1984” premiere date has finally arrived and fans are anxious to know all about the cast starring in Season 9 of the FX anthology series. As the air date nears, showrunner, Ryan Murphy has released several trailers teasing what’s to come in this 80s slasher themed season.
Before tuning into the show, take some time to learn more about the cast that will be appearing on “American Horror Story” Season 9.
Emma Roberts
The actress will be appearing in “AHS: 1984” as Brooke Thompson. According to TVLine, Robert’s character has been described as an endearingly innocent young woman, who gets pressured into spending the summer at the eerie Camp Redwood.
Billie Lourd
After preventing the end of the world in “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” as Mallory, Lourd will play Montana Duke in Season 9 of the series. Montana is the only girl in her group of friends and will happily invite Brooke to join them for a summer of fun.
John Carroll Lynch
Lynch, who previously played Twisty the Clown, will return the anthology series as a new villain called Mr. Jingles. The serial killer will kill off the visitors at Camp Redwood after escaping from a psychiatric facility.
Cody Fern
After trying to cause the end of the world in “AHS” Apocalypse,” Fern will leave his villainous ways behind to portray Xavier Plympton. Fern’s character is an aerobics instructor, who will convince his friends to join him at Camp Redwood after landing a counselor gig.
Leslie Grossman
There isn’t much known about Grossman’s new character, Margaret Booth. However, it appears she will play an authoritative figure in the new season, like a camp counselor supervisor.
Sarah Paulson
After starring in eight seasons of “American Horror Story,” Paulson is expected to have a small role on “AHS: 1984.” Details about her character have not been released.
New Additions To The cast
“Glee” alum, Matthew Morrison will play Trevor Kirchner. Details about the character haven’t been revealed, but fans can expect to be distracted by his large mustache.
Gus Kenworthy
The Olympic gold medalist will make his debut in the “American Horror Story” universe as Chet Clancy, Brooke’s boyfriend.
DeRon Horton
The “Dear White People” star will play the role of Ray Powell, an optimistic young man, who is oblivious to the horrors at Camp Redwood.
Angelica Ross
The “Pose” star will play Rita, the camp’s nurse. When she isn’t busy helping the injured, she’ll be scaring campers with her spooky stories.
Tara Karsian
The “Doubt” actress will play the camp’s chef Bertie. Although she spends her time in the kitchen, Bertie knows all about the bodies that have been buried around Camp Redwood.
“American Horror Story: 1984” airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. EDT on FX.
