Kenan Thompson will appear on "America's Got Talent" this week to fill in for Simon Cowell, who is still recovering from an electric bike accident.
Last week, Kelly Clarkson filled in for Cowell on the reality talent competition show. This week, the "Saturday Night Live" cast member will step in for Cowell and join fellow judges Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Howie Mandel, along with host Terry Crews, Entertainment Tonight reported.
Thompson will join the panel of judges for Tuesday and Wednesday's live shows.
Meanwhile, the "Because of You" singer was very happy to take over Cowell's seat last week.
"I have waited years for this. I love Simon, but I'm getting really used to this chair, buddy," she joked.
"I'm just saying, take your time. I could use another job.”
Prior to her appearance on the show, Clarkson already informed her fans that she would be filling in for Cowell.
"My friend, Simon Cowell, is doing better now but was in an accident and won’t be able to make Tuesday and Wednesday’s live shows for 'AGT'," Clarkson said.
"But no worries America, someone far wiser, cooler, and hotter is taking his seat! The unbelievably amazing Kelly Clarkson. You’re welcome in advance!”
After Clarkson’s appearance on the show, Cowell took to Twitter to thank her.
“Thank you @kellyclarkson. Miss all of you. What a Great Show. #AGT,” he wrote.
Cowell broke his back after a hard fall while testing an electric bike. His spokesperson released a statement shortly after the accident and confirmed it. Meanwhile, an insider told Page Six how bad Cowell's fall was.
"When he fell off the bike he landed right on his back which broke in a number of places," the source told the media outlet.
"He was in shock and in massive amounts of pain. Lauren went with him to the hospital and has been allowed in briefly to see him. He’s doing OK in the circumstances.”
Cowell underwent a six-hour surgery after the accident. He also offered an unsolicited advice on social media to those who are planning to buy an electric bike: “[R]ead the manual before you ride it for the first time.”
