Amy Duggar King was forced to cancel Christmas celebrations this year after testing positive for COVID-19.
The "19 Kids and Counting" alum, 35, told her Instagram followers Friday that she has contracted COVID-19 and that she and her husband Dillon King are quarantining away from their 2-year-old son, Daxton Ryan. Dillon had tested positive a week and a half before she did.
"Christmas is canceled here until further notice," Amy captioned a photo of her and her husband chatting via FaceTime.
According to the former TLC star, Dillon has been self-isolating in their bedroom for a while, while she began quarantining in a room upstairs in their home Thursday. Amy said she does not have a fever but has been suffering from "terrible" body aches and chills.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's niece, however, said that her mom and her son are "doing great."
"[I] found out that Delta Airlines canceled 200 flights due to [Omicron], and that's the airline we flew on from our Atlanta trip," Amy wrote.
Amy went on to admit that this was "definitely not the Christmas I thought we would be having," sharing that none of their family holiday plans were completed due to their quarantines, including wrapping presents and taking a family portrait.
However, the former country singer — who is the only child of Terry Jordan and Deanna Duggar, Jim Bob's sister — wrote that they plan to hold a make-up celebration in January.
"And even though I'm trapped for 10 days I'll use this time to grow closer to the Lord, see some blockbuster hits and rest," she added. "I'm so thankful for mom for taking care of our little guy— we love you so much!! Until we are better Merry MERRY Christmas!"
A number of family members, friends and followers reached out to Amy via the post and sent her family love and prayers.
"Oh no! So sorry you’re sick!" her cousin Jill Duggar Dillard commented.
"Christmas actually begins tomorrow and ends January 6th. You are right on schedule! Prayers for healing and a mild case," one follower wrote.
"Hope y’all get well soon! Y’all should quarantine together since you both have it. You won’t expose him again since he just got it. My daughter has it and I don’t so she’s stuck in her room. I keep testing myself every 2 days," another Instagram user commented.
"Aww, y’all can quarantine in the same room, at least [you'd] have each other. Unless y’all like space when sick. Hope y’all feel better soon!!" another person added.
Ahead of the holidays, Charlie Puth, Doja Cat, Sutton Foster and tennis player Rafael Nadal also revealed that they tested positive for COVID-19 amid the surge in cases related to the Omicron coronavirus variant, according to People.
As of Friday, there has been a 55% increase in COVID-19 cases in the country in the last two weeks, along with a 10% increase in hospitalizations, The New York Times reported.
