Is Angelina Jolie Stopping Brad Pitt From Parenting Kids Amid Custody Battle?
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are expected to go to court on Dec. 4 to begin the custody battle over their six children. However, rumors suggest problems between the estranged couple have escalated outside of the courtroom.
Jolie and Pitt have not reached an amicable custody agreement since the actress filed for divorce in 2016, and as a result, the children have been spending a majority of the time in their mother’s care. A new story alleges the 43-year-old has been using the extra time with her kids to prevent Pitt from making major decisions about their futures.
Celebrity Insider published an article claiming Jolie is doing her best to push Pitt out of their children’s lives. The “Maleficent 2” star reportedly made a trip to Seoul, South Korea, to look at colleges with her eldest son, Maddox, however, she reportedly failed to mention the trip to her ex.
“The last person she wants input or suggestions from is Brad, who has to fight through the courts for any possible say about anything,” a source told the website.
The insider revealed Jolie believes she deserves to make decisions for the kids and will win physical custody against Pitt. The “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” star is seeking joint legal and physical custody.
While there is no confirmation that Jolie is actually stopping Pitt from parenting the kids, sources previously told Us Weekly the actress has interfered with the amount of time Pitt spent with his kids.
“Angie is once again doing things that are interfering with Brad’s custodial time with the children,” an insider revealed in early October.
“There have been several occasions in recent weeks in which the kids have been late, with Brad unable to reach anyone for answers,” the source added.
While a confidant of the actress denied any truth to the allegations, Pitt and Jolie have not spoken out about their relationship amid the custody battle.
