Apple iPhone 6C Release Date Rumors Indicate February Arrival With Metallic Design
The Apple iPhone 6C is rumored as the next iPhone from the Cupertino-based company. Although Apple releases its iPhones in the month of September, fresh speculations indicate that the purported 4-inch iPhone will be released as early as in February next year.
Citing a Chinese source and tipsters from Foxconn, G for Games reported that like the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, the purported iPhone 6C will be coming with metal construction. Rumors also claim that like the iPhone 5C, the next generation 4-inch iPhone 6C will also arrive in multiple colors.
Speculations are indicating that the iPhone 6C will be showcased to the world in January 2016. The handset will be available for purchase in February. The Chinese sources did not reveal any information on the specifications of the iPhone 6C. However, the 3D Touch feature that is graced by the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will not be coming to the iPhone 6C.
Previous rumors suggested that the iPhone 6C is an upgraded version of the iPhone 5S. It will be coming with Apple A8 SoC, 1 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v4.1 and 8-megapixel camera. The alleged handset is said to have already entered production phase.
The Apple iPhone 6C is likely to feature a fingerprint scanner as the iPhone 5S features it. The purported 4-inch iPhone 6C will be aimed towards the affordable market. Hence, it is expected to be priced around $400 to $500. According to Phone Arena, with the iPhone 6C will be released to replace the IPhone 5S. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus handsets will be then pushed to the midrange segment.
Apple has not revealed any information on launching a new 4-inch iPhone. However, if the alleged handset is to get announced next month, more details are likely to surface in the upcoming weeks.
