Apple Reportedly Planning To Equip Higher-End iPhone 15 With Even More Exclusive Features

Rumors and leaks surrounding Apple's next-generation flagship series, presumably the iPhone 15, are rife online. The latest information claimed that the Cupertino-based tech giant will equip the high-end iPhone 15 models with even more exclusive features.

TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his accurate forecasts about Apple and its products in the past, shared a new set of information about the company's upcoming iPhone 15 series. According to him, Apple will highlight differentiation between standard and high-end iPhone 15 models since iPhone 14 Pro's robust sales.

In a recent Twitter thread, Kuo mentioned that Apple will introduce USB-C to the new flagship series next year but only the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have the USB 3.2 standard or the Thunderbolt 3. These are capable of managing up to 40 Gbps of data transfers.

"My latest survey indicates all 2H23 new iPhones will abandon Lightning and change to USB-C, but only two high-end models (15 Pro & 15 Pro Max) will support the wired high-speed transfer, and the two standard ones (15 & 15 15 Plus) still support USB 2.0 same as Lightning," Kuo said.

Meanwhile the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Max models will reportedly have USB 2.0 speeds, just like iPhone models equipped with Lightning technology.

"I predict that 15 Pro & 15 Pro Max will support at least USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3. This specification upgrade means that the user experience of wired transmission and video output will be significantly improved. This specification upgrade and a new trend will drive Apple's ecological demand for high-speed transmission chips and competitors' imitation (almost all Android phones only support USB 2. 0) at present, and will benefit the growth of the high-speed transmission IC design industry," Kuo said in a tweet.

Aside from those details, consumers have learned over the past weeks that the high-end iPhone 15 models would house more exclusive features, including the A17 Bionic chip, which is based on TSMC's second-generation 3nm process. This move is anticipated to allow the smartphones to deliver major performance and efficiency improvements.

Trendforce, a Taiwan-based firm, previously said that the iPhone 15 Pro model would house an increased 8 GB of RAM, while the standard flagship models would maintain the current 6GB of RAM. Other exclusive features rumored to be in the high-end iPhone 15 models include the introduction of the solid-state power and volume button and increased optical zoom for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

It is worth noting that while these details are interesting and were leaked by reliable industry insiders, they are not official. Consumers should temper their expectations and take the latest set of leaks about the high-end iPhone 15 models as highly speculative at this stage.
