Val Chmerkovskiy has found himself at the center of yet another romance rumor. The “Dancing With the Stars” pro, who is paired with Olympian Laurie Hernandez for Season 23, is being romantically linked to former contestant Amber Rose.

Following Monday’s show, Val dished about the dating rumors telling Entertainment Tonight that he can’t control who people think he’s romancing. Val and Amber sparked rumors they could be a couple after they were seen posing for flirty photos together at Amber’s 33rd birthday party last week.

“You know, I post a lot of pictures with Laurie too and, for some reason, thankfully, there’s no romance rumors there,” he said about his 16-year-old partner. “I can’t control what people think. I live my life and I try to live it, you know, the way to live it.”

According to the outlet, when Val was asked about comments that he and Amber would make a very cute couple, he responded: “I’d make a cute couple with a lot of people, you know what I’m saying?”

People magazine reported that there definitely could be a romance brewing between the Slut Walk creator and Val. A source told the outlet that Amber’s former “Dancing With the Stars” partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy was the one who introduced her to Val. “[They] really like each other,” the source said. “It’s very new, but it’s going well.”

Another insider close to Val told People that the ballroom dancer and Amber are nothing more than “just friends.”

This month, Amber found herself involved in another rumor with one of the Chmerkovskiy brothers. Radar Online reported that she was “at war” with Maks’ pregnant fiancée Peta Murgatroyd. According to the report, Peta was “seriously jealous” over how close Amber and Maks had gotten during their time on the ABC competition series. Peta dismissed the rumor, posting on Instagram: “They finally got it right @amberrose boo you better watch out I’m watching.”
