Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell found love on reality TV and they’ll continue their journey in front of the cameras on Tuesday night’s premiere of “Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After?” Before the Freeform series catches us up with “The Bachelor” couple, found out where they are in their lives today.

After Lauren won Ben’s heart on ABC’s “The Bachelor,” he proposed to her in the Season 20 finale. Their engagement appeared to be a fairytale but the promo for their new show (and the question mark in the title) reveals they may hit a few bumps in the road to the altar. “What happens after the final rose is handed out and normal life ensues?” the synopsis teases, adding viewers will get to watch the couple plan their wedding while “nagativating the real world after the splendor of ‘The Bachelor.’”

The Season 1 trailer also reveals Lauren will move into Ben’s bachelor pad in Denver where he will drop a supposed bombshell on his bride-to-be. “There is one big thing you don’t know about me yet,” he says to a visibly concerned Lauren.

Of course, there’s also drama involving Ben’s exes to deal with. JoJo Fletcher, his “Bachelor” runner-up (and “the other woman” he said he loved) will guest star. A scene from the trailer shows JoJo, her fiancé Jordan Rodgers, Ben and Lauren sitting down for what could be a tension-filled meal, though it may not be all bad. “During the show some fan favorites from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” will stop by to visit and share their own advice on life after the show,” the synopsis shares.

A sneak peek from the premiere (above) reveals the couple will also go head-to-head about public appearances. The teaser shows Lauren and Ben arguing before they’re due to film a TV show. Backstage at the event (also attended by “Bachelorette” fan-favorite villain Chad Johnson) Lauren expresses her anxiety about agreeing to participate.

“I feel like you just said yes for both of us,” she tells Ben. “This just isn’t my idea of fun.” Ben is shocked by her admission and says he wants Lauren to be happy, but they don’t have much time to discuss the issue. In the middle of their talk they’re told they’re due onstage and they comply.

Despite the hardships the couple may face on “Happily Ever After?” it appears their relationship is still on track. Late Monday, Lauren gushed about her future hubby on Instagram, posting a photo of them posing side-by-side. Ben has been posting equally romantic posts recently, most of which include shots of him and Lauren engaging in some PDA.

As for their plans to wed, Ben says they’re taking it slow. “I think we both get really excited about that next step, especially when it comes to our wedding. But what we realized is that sometimes, when you take those steps so quickly, it becomes a chore instead of something to celebrate,” he told US Weekly. “We want to make sure we’re in the right headspace and calmed down, and that our life has slowed to a point where we can start planning a wedding with the mindset of a celebration, not just to get it done.”

Catch the season premiere Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
