Fans have speculated a Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello relationship for years now. Some rumors date back to 2015 when they collaborated on the hit song "I Know What You Did Last Summer." Now that the pair is back with a new single, so are the rumors, along with lots of evidence to prove their relationship could be much more than just friends.

The most recent speculation began on Wednesday when Cabello posted a video to her Instagram featuring clips of herself and the 20-year-old randomly screaming while on set for their sultry new music video, “Señorita.”

According to Us Weekly, Mendes' mother, Karen Rayment, commented "with a pair of emojis: an expanding heart and a couple in love." And, those two simple emojis were all it took for fans to consider Rayment's possible confirmation of a Mendes-Cabello relationship.

The Canadian real estate agent seemed to further confirm the idea that the duo is dating when she replied to a fan's request on Instagram to "tell them to date." Rayment responded with the monkey covering its eyes emoji.

Neither of the "Señorita" voices has confirmed the news, but it appears Mendes' mom certainly approves.

While fans are obviously down for the pair to be official, it may be too soon for the "Havana" singer. On Wednesday, a source revealed to Us that Cabello and relationship expert Matthew Hussey had split after over a year of dating.
