Ariana Grande Will Be Dating Herself In 2019 After Pete Davidson Split
Ariana Grande has no plans to date anyone this year. If her song “Thank U, Next” wasn’t enough indication, she has now confirmed to a fan online that she will not be in a relationship in 2019, and this may extend to the rest of her life.
A fan asked Grande on Twitter about who she was dating nowadays. The singer, who is very active on social media, replied by saying that she isn’t with anyone, and this probably will hold true for the rest of her life, Cosmopolitan reported.
Grande broke up with her fiancé Pete Davidson just three months back, so the question of dating may have come a little too early. The singer also talked about her past relationships in her hit song “Thank U, Next.”
The lyrics of “Thank U, Next,” suggest that Grande is grateful for being in a relationship with the men she mentioned in the song. She also appears to be on friendly terms with all of them, judging by the way she found ways to thank them individually in the song.
The main theme of “Thank U, Next,” however, was that Grande was taking some time off from the dating scene in order to focus on herself. In the lyrics, she said that she is now in a relationship with a girl named “Ari,” which is an obvious reference to herself. She also said that she is so happy in this new relationship that there’s no need to search for someone new.
The song went on to become a huge hit, and now Grande has released it on vinyl, Pitch Fork reported. The song also got a music video recently that was made with references to 2000s films like “Legally Blonde,” “Bring It On” “and “Mean Girls.”
Meanwhile, Grande was recently spotted with her ex, Ricky Alvarez. Pictures posted on Page Six showed the singer with her ex strolling in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood. She was wearing a thigh-high boots and a hooded Fendi puffer jacket. She covered her face with a black mask because she was suffering from bronchitis.
For eager fans who are thinking that Grande is dating Alvarez, the singer has already clarified on social media that she and her ex are just friends, and there is nothing more to the casual meeting.
On the career front, Grande is looking ahead for a bright 2019. In a post on Instagram, she confirmed that she will be a headliner at the Coachella music festival.
