Ashley Tisdale Breakup: 'High School Musical' Alum is a Single Lady

Actress Ashley Tisdale is a single lady, just in time for the holidays.

The Disney alumnus, 26, and music video director Scott Speer have called it quits after more than two years, according to People.

They had been on and off for a while, a source told Us Weekly. They tried to work it out but realized their relationship ran its course.

Perez Hilton tweeted a breakup-appropriate message to Tisdale: Sending you a big hug!!!

Tisdale, who is remembered by younger Disney fans as sassy Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical franchise, seems to be keeping her focus. Earlier, she tweeted a picture of herself with former costar Zac Efron, along with a message that read So happy to have amazing friends in my life!

She also tweeted a birthday shout-out to another HSM alumnus: Wishin my girl Vanessa Hudgens a very happy birthday! Can't wait to celebrate.

The breakup marks another big moment in Tisdale's year. She posed nude for Allure magazine's May issue - along with Kaley Cuoco, Keri Hilson, and Bridget Moynahan -- in a kneeling position while looking over her left shoulder.

Being in this shoot was me saying, 'I'm not just the young girl everybody thinks I am. I'm actually a woman,' Tisdale told the magazine.

Tisdale's most recent big role was on the TV series Hellcats, in which she played a college cheerleader. The show was canceled in May. She is slated to star in an upcoming ABC comedy series, titled Under Construction.
