Ashton Kutcher to make less than Charlie Sheen on “Two and a Half Men”
OK! Magazine is reporting that Ashton Kutcher's pay check will not be as large as Charlie Sheen's.
It was recently announced that Kutcher will replace Sheen on the hit sitcom Two and a Half Men. It was originally reported by TMZ that Kutcher will be making more than half of Charlie Sheen's base salary, but less than $900,000 an episode.
Before Sheen was fired for going on a rant about executive producer and creator Chuck Lorre, he was reportedly making more than $2 million per episode.
According to TMZ, Kutcher will make approximately $625,000 per year. Also according to the report, CBS executive Les Moonves has already approved Kutcher's pay and casting.
Kutcher is the only shake up to the show. The other original cast members, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones will be coming back for the show's ninth season. It is not yet clear how Kutcher will be fit into the plot. He will not be playing Charlie Harper. He will play a completely new character.
The announcement was first made by Kutcher via his Twitter account. He tweeted, what's the square root of 6.25? The answer, which is 2.5, confirmed the rumors that he was joining the cast.
