‘Assassin’s Creed Origins’ For PS4, Xbox One 3GB Patch Fixes, Changes Detailed
A new patch for “Assassin’s Creed Origins” is rolling out this Tuesday, and it’s a big one. The update comes with numerous fixes and changes that improve the gaming experience of the action-adventure video game.
Patch 1.1.0 is clocking in at 3GB for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of “Assassin’s Creed Origins.” Though Ubisoft did not indicate the file size of the new patch for the PC version of the game, fans should already expect it to be big considering the numerous improvements it adds to the game.
The highlights of the update as indicated in the patch notes are the new Nightmare difficulty mode, the new horde mode that’s been added to the Arena and the Enemy Auto-Level NPC scaling option, which basically allows weak enemies to match the level of players so the game stays challenging.
According to VG 24/7, the Nightmare difficulty mode makes all the enemies in the game more resilient to damages. It also transforms them into more dangerous creatures to ensure the difficulty of this mode. On the other hand, the new horde mode will give players the chance to prove themselves by facing unlimited waves of foes in the Cyrene arena.
The new “Assassin’s Creed Origins” patch improves gameplay in more ways than one. For example, the navigation and animation issues with the playable character that fans noticed before have now been addressed. The bugs that prevented the Game Progression statistic to reach 100 percent is also crushed by the latest patch.
Ubisoft also made some changes to the user interface of the game with the new update. After installing the 3GB patch, players will notice that the Gear menu now has Hood, Air and Beard customization options. In addition, the World Map now has an Uncompleted Locations filter and a friends-only pictures filter. An option that allows players to hide the Compass as well as the Enemy Proximity Feedback on the HUD has also been added.
Another very noticeable change that patch 1.1.0 comes with is the improvement on the texture of many graphical elements in the game. “Assassin’s Creed Origins” will henceforth feature better texture streaming selection, so users are given the option to choose more high-resolution texture. The level of details on some aspects of the game, such as the Hemon Mastaba location, is also enhanced.
For the PC version of the game, the changes include support for HDR display, improved Performance Tools functionality, enabled Eye Tracking by default and the addition of a “Quit to Desktop” option to the pause menu. The patch also fixes the errors in the display of Photo Mode pictures, an issue with the Reset graphic option and the white squares that kept on appearing in windows mode on 4K monitor.
