Baby Yoda Cat Saved From California Wildfires By Firefighters
Firefighters don’t just save people from wildfires; they save animals too. When a kitten was found in the middle of the road, firefighters rescued him, but it’s the cat’s resemblance to Baby Yoda that’s making headlines.
The North Valley Animal Disaster Group shared that a kitten, only two or three weeks old, was found in the middle of the road when firefighters came across him. He was covered in ash, and the emergency workers brought the cat to Cal Oak Animal Shelter to get him some necessary care—and a Star Wars-inspired name.
After a bath and a visit from the veterinarian, the cat was named Baby Yoda. The feline’s ears definitely resemble the “Mandalorian” character. Fans know that the official name of the character is The Child, but without an official name, viewers of the Disney+ show have taken to calling him Baby Yoda.

The adorable kitten has plenty of cat and Star Wars lovers offering a forever home, but for now, Baby Yoda is with a foster family who can help him with the medical care he needs.
Meanwhile, a Baby Yoda doll is keeping firefighters company while fighting wildfires across the country. A five-year-old named Carver sent a “Mandalorian” doll to Oregon firefighters with a note. “Thank you, firefighters. Here is a friend for you, in case you get lonely,” it read.
The firefighters decided that their company wasn’t the only one who needed the Star Wars companion. Baby Yoda went to California, Wyoming and is now in Colorado. A Facebook blog keeps Carver and plenty of others updated on the Baby Yoda doll’s travels.
