Babysitter Allegedly Gives Minor Meth, Then Films Child Porn With Her

A Casper, Wyoming man faces multiple drug and sex abuse charges after he allegedly gave a 13-year-old girl methamphetamine and then produced child pornography with her.

According to court documents filed this week in Natrona County District Court, Salvador Salas faces multiple charges, including two counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor, two counts of sexual exploitation of children, child endangerment of methamphetamine and distribution of a controlled substance to a minor, local radio station KTWO reported.

Salas was also charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and delivery of drug paraphernalia, the documents stated.

An investigation into Salas was initiated after police received a report of a 13-year-old girl being brought to Wyoming Medical Center for what was described as a case of "extensive methamphetamine ingestion," according to an affidavit.

The unnamed 13-year-old was brought to the hospital after her mother was awoken by a commotion from the girl's room at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Feb. 27. The mother noticed that the minor exhibited signs of methamphetamine ingestion, the affidavit stated.

Court documents said the girl told investigators she received the drugs from Salas while they were at his house. They then proceeded to smoke it out of a flashlight bong.

The girl's mother allowed Salas to "babysit" the girl on numerous occasions, according to the affidavit.

A search of Salas' home resulted in the discovery of a number of electronic recording devices in the residence and hundreds of videos of child pornography on his computer. The documents said the videos depicted sexual acts with children, who were as young as infants in some cases.

Police also discovered that some of the videos included the 13-year-old girl. In one of them, Salas is heard asking the girl her age. He then proceeds to engage in sex with the minor after she reveals her true age.

According to the documents, Salas would bring girls over to his apartment and give them methamphetamine, MDMA or heroin before photographing them.

Salas has not had an opportunity to enter pleas to the charges.
