Nick Viall has been looking for love in all the wrong places, but he’s not giving up just yet. After failing to find the woman of his dreams on Seasons 10 and 11 of “The Bachelorette” and Season 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” the Wisconsin native has been chosen as “The Bachelor” in Season 21.

More than 30 women have been selected to vie for his heart on the ABC dating series, so you know this season is going to be intense. There have also been reports that someone from Nick’s past managed to work her way onto the cast, despite his hope that all the women would be new to him. Will her reemergence in his life cause drama? Only time will tell.

The Season 21 premiere is just under a week away. While you impatiently await “The Bachelor” drama, here’s everything we know about the show so far:

Nick Will Find Love — Perhaps With More Than One Contestant:

In an interview with People magazine, Nick teased a “truly amazing” season to come. He shared with the publication that Season 21 of “The Bachelor” was something of an emotional rollercoaster for him, but it seems it was all worth it in the end. Nick said he developed “strong feelings for multiple women” during filming, though only one can ultimately be chosen when all is said and done.

“Early on with so many women, you obviously don’t know a lot of things about them but talking to all of them and wanting to make it meaningful to all of them is very physically taxing,” he explained. “And then as time goes on, it becomes more emotionally taxing and less physically taxing. And you get to know these women, there’s a level of respect. You’re asking them to do things they’ve never been able to do and to face stressful situations and their fears.”

You’ll Be Able To Watch Along With Super Fans On Snapchat:

Disney-ABC Television Group has decided to partner with Snap Inc. to create original programming for Snapchat. Users will be able to watch along with the cast of shows they love as well as super fans from around the world. The first venture in this partnership is a show called “Watch Party: The Bachelor,” which will be about five minutes long. The show will appear in the discover section of Snapchat and is expected to feature celebrities, comedians and “Bachelor” fans from all walks of life.

Forty Women Were Selected To Compete On This Season:

This season of “The Bachelor” may be the one where Nick finally gets lucky in love, but it won’t be easy. He’s going to have to sift through 40 contestants during the show’s duration. The ladies come from every corner of the United States and have various different cultural backgrounds and skill sets. Nick’s Behavior Reportedly Almost Cost Him Three Of His Final Four Romantic Interests:

In November, In Touch Weekly reported that three of the four final ladies on Season 21 of “The Bachelor” wanted to quit the show due to Nick’s attitude. The cast was preparing to head to Finland to shoot the final rose ceremony when more than half of the finalists were said to have begun having second thoughts. According to the publication, the anonymous cast members thought Nick was “completely arrogant,” “a total diva” and was on “The Bachelor” for all the wrong reasons.

“A lot of the girls think Nick isn’t taking the process seriously,” one source said.

“The Bachelor” Met One Of His Contestants Prior To Filming:

Us Weekly previously broke the news that a woman from Nick’s past had been cast in Season 21 of “The Bachelor.” The woman in question is not a former girlfriend or friend, but rather someone he met and reportedly had sex with at a wedding. Reality Steve identified the woman as Elizabeth “Liz” Sandoz, speculating that it was at Jade Roper’s wedding that the two met.

According to the “Bachelor” spoiler blog, Liz and Jade are close friends. Nick was at the wedding, which Liz was a bridesmaid in.

A trailer for the upcoming season of “The Bachelor” features Liz, who acknowledges that she knows Nick in the clips. She also reveals that he has no idea that she’s been cast in the show and seems uncertain about how it will go when he recalls their tryst. Multiple early reports claimed that Nick was clear about wanting only strangers on the show, as he felt it would be pointless otherwise.

“The Bachelor” premieres Jan. 2, 2017, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. Tune in to catch all the drama.
