‘The Bachelorette’ Season 21 Winner Jordan Rodgers Reveals Details About JoJo Fletcher's Engagement Ring, Upcoming Wedding
It’s official — Jordan Rodgers and JoJo Fletcher are engaged after 10 weeks of intense romance on ABC’s “The Bachelorette.” The former NFL player popped the question during the Season 12 finale on Monday, but JoJo’s gorgeous engagement ring hardly got the airtime it deserved.
Early reports from Us Weekly suggested that Jordan — a 27-year-old nutrition coach and sports analyst from California — presented his bride-to-be with a 3.5 carat Neil Lane diamond ring. Jordan and JoJo have since spoken out, setting the record straight about who chose the ring, how, and it’s exact specs. During a conference call on Monday, the couple revealed that the ring is actually just 3-carats in total. The center stone is surrounded by exactly 155 small round pave diamonds and the band is handcrafted in diamond platinum. The controversial “The Bachelorette” contestant picked the ring himself and was nervous that JoJo, 25, might not like it. During the call he said that he and his fiancée “kind of” discussed the kinds of marital bling they were most attracted to, but did not delve too deep into the conversation.
“As soon as that box opened I knew it was the one,” Jordan said.
Jordan and JoJo may have only just announced their engagement, but they’ve already started planning their big day. During the call, JoJo stated that she’s got “the biggest family,” adding that her mom has already begun drafting up a list of people who need to be present for her and Jordan’s walk down the aisle. She and Jordan have agreed on an “outdoor, rustic wedding.” Her future hubby told reporters that they are “on the same page” thus far.
The couple shared their first photos together on social media early Tuesday. JoJo was first, posting a screen grab of her and Jordan during “After the Final Rose” on Monday. She urged her more than 1 million Instagram followers not to give up on finding their “fairy tale.” Jordan later posted a photo of him and his fiancée backstage before “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” writing that he had no plans to let her go. The photos came amid rumors that their relationship had ended after “The Bachelorette” wrapped Season 12.
Jordan and JoJo cemented their commitment and attraction to one another during the final episode of “The Bachelorette,” which aired on ABC on Monday. JoJo, Jordan and Robby Hayes were in Thailand at the time. During the finale the show’s star introduced her final two prospects to her family before making her final decision. During the last rose ceremony of the season she cut Robby loose, revealing to Jordan that she was very much in love with him and had been for some time. He then got down on one knee and the couple is said to be preparing for their happily ever after in Dallas, where JoJo is from.
It remains unclear which of JoJo’s cast offs — if any — will star in Season 21 of “The Bachelor.” The show has not yet begun filming and is still accepting applications from hopeful single women looking to appear on the season and find love.
