Badalamenti's Bensonhurst Deli Sued over Wheelchair Access
A woman has sued a Bensonhurst deli because its front step make it inaccessible to her because she is in a wheelchair. Her lawyer is based in Florida, which may explain it.
It turns out to be that said deli is actually owned by reputed mob boss Vincent Vinny TV Badalamenti, an interesting turn of events.
Maryann Santiago told The Daily News She was unaware that it was a 'family' deli. She filed a lawsuit accusing Bagels Plus, Badalamenti's store, of multiple violations of the Americans With Disabilities Act, seeking $500 and changes to make the store accessible to the disabled.
Badalamenti is currently held in prison on racketeering charges and his lawyer reportedly wasn't yet aware of the suit.
