Barack Obama, Michelle Obama Called 'Fake' Amid Divorce Rumors; Split Reports Deemed Inaccurate
Barack Obama and Michelle Obama divorce rumors have been spreading like wildfire lately. Though the couple just celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on Oct. 3, it did not stop the speculations about their, allegedly, crumbling marriage from making rounds online.
Reports have it that Barack and Michelle are on the verge of a divorce after the former U.S. president was, reportedly, seen consulting with divorce lawyers and not wearing his wedding band. Globe even claimed that the couple has been feuding since Michelle, allegedly, refuses to get a real job. The tabloid, also, stated that the former first lady was planning to run for president as revenge on her husband.
The magazine insinuated that Michelle Obama, also, wants to have her own television show to pursue her lifelong dream to have a career in Hollywood. “Barack and Michelle have been at each other’s throats for the longest time,” a source told the publication. “Something was bound to give — and it has!” it went on.
To recall, Michelle admitted to People, in November 2018, that she and Barack had sought marriage counseling in the past. "Because we’re role models, it’s important for us to be honest and say, if you’re in a marriage and there are times you want to leave, that’s normal, because I felt that way," the former United States first lady revealed. "There were definitely times when I wished things were different. But I don’t think I ever thought, ‘I’m just checking out of this," she added.
Despite its questionable accuracy, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama's divorce rumors created buzz on social media. “WEREN'T THEY A FAKE FAMILY ANYWAY AND THE GIRLS ARE HIS FOUNDATION MANAGERS KIDS THAT'S WHY HE WAS ALWAYS AROUND THE 2,” a fan wrote on Twitter. “The tabloids say that you and Micheal are getting a divorce? Please say it isn't so!!!” another person said.
Amid the never-ending divorce reports, Michelle revealed to Marie Claire how she realized that Barack is the man for her when they were still working at the Sidley & Austin law firm together. Though she did not plan to pursue Barack, Michelle developed feelings for him after knowing him more, including the details of his family and his strong values. She added Barack was “persistent” and “cute.”
While it is possible that the former first couple faces challenges on their marriages on a daily basis, it is not enough for them to end things just like that. Besides the fact that Globe has been known for publishing fictitious stories based on the claims of its sham tipsters, it is important to note that neither Barack Obama nor Michelle Obama has confirmed anything as of yet. Hence, these divorce rumors should be taken lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
