'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice': Details Emerge About Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman’s age in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is revealed in a new report. The role will be played by Gal Gadot in the movie and she will repeat the role in a subsequent solo movie of the character. [Spoiler alert]
Fans may have already seen the sword-wielding Wonder Woman in the photo released by director Zack Snyder. According to a report by Umberto Gonzalez, Gadot’s character will be “hundreds of years” old.
Commenting on the report, one fan remarked that the character is an immortal, just like Superman. According to a report by ScreenCrush, the origin story of the character in the solo movie, set to be released in 2017, may be based on the original comic book series. The report points out that the comic book story line in DC comics shows Wonder Woman to be the daughter of Zeus and it is unclear which origin story of the character will be used in the movies.
The 2017 movie is said to focus on war among various factions in Amazon. The report speculates that Warner Bros. could be using a combination of stories from the original comic books and the New 52 comics for the movie. The new comics show the character to be trained by the god Ares and she later takes on the role of god of War.
Hints about the origin of Wonder Woman may be found when the character will first appear in “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” The director shared this picture of the character previously, and it shows Gal Gadot in what appears to be a volcanic mountain.
Gadot will also be seen playing Wonder Woman in the two-part “Justice League” movies that are slated to be released in 2017 and 2019. She will be joined by her fellow cast members Henry Cavill as Clark Kent and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne in these movies.
Filming of “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” has already been completed and it’s currently in the post-production phase. The movie is slated to be released March 25, 2016, in the United States.
