Lex Luthor may not be the only big villain in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” A new report from El Mayimbe posted on Saturday suggests that the comic book villain Doomsday will appear as the “muscle” in the movie. El Mayimbe, speaking to ShanlianOnBatman, said that this report is now “official.”

Comparing the role of Doomsday with that of Darth Vader from the “Star Wars” franchise, El Mayimbe said the two characters were basically the “muscle” who were working for the main villain in the movie. For Vader, it was Grand Moff Tarkin in the original movie, and for Doomsday it will be Lex Luthor.

The report also reveals that the part of the trailer where it says, “Tell me … do you bleed?” is actually from a dream sequence in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and it's not Doomsday’s voice that is heard in the video. A previous report by ComicBook revealed that the origin story of the character will be different from what the fans have read in the comic books. [Spoiler Alert]

According to the report, Michael Shannon -- who played General Zod in the 2013 movie “Man of Steel” -- will play Doomsday. Apparently, Lex Luthor will steal General Zod’s body in the upcoming movie and experiment on it to find a weakness in Superman.

Readers should note that both Clark Kent and General Zod are from the planet Krypton. The experiment on Zod’s corpse is said to trigger the “Doomsday genome” in his body, turning him into the monstrous villain who is capable of taking on even the strongest of the superheroes.

The movie is slated to be released March 25, 2016 in the U.S.
