Ben Affleck Allegedly Left Jennifer Garner In The Cold, Chose Caribbean Party Over Family
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have remained friendly to each other even after their divorce was finalized last year. The former lovebirds have, even, been seen together with their kids on several occasions. However, new reports claiming that “Good Will Hunting” actor left the “Elektra” actress in the cold when he chose a Caribbean party over spending Thanksgiving with his children – Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7.
RadarOnline.com reported that Ben traveled to the Bahamas for the holiday while Jennifer took their three kids in Boston to see her sister. Insiders told the entertainment news publication that close pals of the “Argo” actor are worried that he would experience another relapse in his recent trip.
“Ben has been working hard lately and feels he deserves a break,” an insider said. “Jen’s worried about what he will get up to, but he’s a grown man and he can make his own choices. He’s not her responsibility anymore,” it went on.
It can be recalled that Ben Affleck was seen intoxicated and stumbling outside of the UNICEF Masquerade Ball party just a few hours after posting about his recovery on Instagram in October. A clip of the “Gone Girl” actor almost falling down in the street spread like wildfire on social media. A day after the incident, Ben admitted the relapse but he assured his supporters that he would not let it derail him.
It remains unclear if this report claiming that Ben Affleck chose a party over his family is true. However, with Radar Online’s reputation of making up stories based on the claims of its unreliable tipsters, this could be another groundless report waiting to be debunked.
Meanwhile, Matt Damon, previously, raised concerns about the paparazzi following Ben Affleck around. The “Jason Bourne” actor lamented the “relentless” coverage of Jennifer Garner’s former husband, especially after the slip.
“It’s really intrusive, particularly you know because part of recovery is about anonymity,” Matt told Bill Simmons during a Simmons’ Ringer podcast episode. “That’s a crucial part of it. So, for somebody to be in that situation and having that added pressure of having that whole element (of the media) it doesn’t feel fair. But it is what it is,” he went on.
