Ben Affleck-Jennifer Garner Divorce Saga: Garner Shuts Out Estranged Husband, Affleck May Lose Guesthouse Privilege

News about Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s divorce is still hot news, especially with accusations of the actor’s affair with their children’s former nanny. Now reports reveal that Garner has been avoiding calls from her estranged husband and has reportedly “shut him out.”

In the latest issue of Us Weekly, the magazine revealed that Garner has been avoiding Affleck since July 29, the day news broke of Affleck’s alleged affair with ex-nanny Christine Ouzounian. According to the publication's source, the actress hasn’t been responding to Affleck’s calls and text messages. The insider close to Garner revealed, “She refuses to speak to him about anything other than the kids and has shut him out.”

The “Alias” star is also reportedly considering rescinding her previous offer to Affleck to live in the guest house of their Pacific Palisades property, according to the insider. Another source also told the magazine that the “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” actor is no longer welcome in the home. “With everything that’s happened, she’s no longer pursuing that,” the source said.

Garner was reportedly aware that Affleck had an affair with Ouzounian this spring. However, the insider mentioned that, by then the former couple’s 10-year marriage “was already broken beyond repair.” The source added, “She was disgusted with Ben anyway.”

Meanwhile, a source previously told E! News that Ouzounian was not the reason for Affleck and Garner’s separation. The insider insisted that “it was one of many things” and that Affleck is “absolutely not dating anyone.”

The source added, “There is nothing physical or romantic between Ben and Christine. Dating is not his focus and it hasn't been his focus throughout the separation period. He was tired of Jen's negative energy and constant berating, but that does not mean he cheated."

The actor, via his representative, already denied the affair. Still, the affair rumors continued to swirl around the former couple.

Meanwhile, Affleck’s alleged bad behavior may affect divorce proceedings, particularly in the area of child custody, People reported. According to family law specialist Earle Lilly, a parent’s "behavior can affect the terms of custody" and that an alleged affair could be "significant in a decision of sole custody and joint custody."

The former couple, or their representatives, have yet to disclose further details about their divorce.
