Angelina Jolie and Ellen Pompeo are surprisingly close friends, and they were even spotted enjoying dinner with some of their kids recently.

The "Maleficent" actress was spotted dining with the "Grey's Anatomy" star at E Baldi, a restaurant in Los Angeles' Beverly Hills neighborhood Wednesday. The pair were joined by some of their kids, E! News reported.

Jolie shares six kids with ex-husband Brad Pitt — Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12. Meanwhile, Pompeo and her husband, music producer Chris Avery, have three children together: Stella, 11, Sienna, 6, and Eli, 4.

They also coordinated their looks with Angelina rocking an all-white ensemble and Pompeo wearing an all-black outfit. In the photos shared by E! News, both followed the COVID-19 safety protocols by wearing face masks.

Jolie and Pompeo are very busy at the moment. Pompeo, who stars and produces "Grey's Anatomy," said the series may bow out after the current season, but she hasn't closed the door yet and only said the series' future remains uncertain.

"I can't say. We honestly have not decided. We're really trying to figure it out right now. What story do we tell? To end a show this iconic, how do we do it?" she said when asked if the show will continue after season 17. "I just want to make sure we do this character, and this show, and the fans [justice]. I want to make sure we do it right."

Meanwhile, Jolie recently appeared on British Vogue where she gave her fans a look inside her home life with her children. In the interview, Jolie admitted she wanted to have many kids and shared that the past year was pretty hard following her divorce from Pitt, so she has been focusing on healing their family.

"Even though I wanted to have many children and be a mom, I always imagined it kind of like Jane Goodall, traveling in the middle of the jungle somewhere," Jolie said. "I didn't imagine it in that true, traditional sense. I feel like I'm lacking in all the skills to be a traditional stay-at-home mom. I'm managing through it because the children are quite resilient, and they're helping me, but I'm not good at it at all."

Jolie just sold off the Winston Churchill painting she received from Pitt at an auction for $11.5 million. The “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” star did not give any reason why she wanted to unload the artwork, CBS News reported.
