'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 Spoilers: Episode 12 Sneak Peek Reveals Leonard Loves Therapy [VIDEO]

It is no secret that Leonard (Johnny Galecki) has some problems with his mother (Christine Baranski) on "The Big Theory." Since the beginning of the CBS show, fans have watched the scientist struggle in his relationship with the very cold, emotionless Dr. Beverly Hofstadter. Well, a sneak-peek video for episode 12, "The Sales Call Sublimation," reveals that when Penny (Kaley Cuoco) gives her husband an excuse to see a therapist, Dr. Gallow (former "Malcolm in the Middle" star Jane Kaczmarek), he is more than happy to work through some of his issues.

According to the Season 9 synopsis, Leonard goes to see the shrink so that Penny can follow up and make a sales call on the unsuspecting woman. However, just because their intentions are not honest does not mean Leonard is not willing to work through some very real issues. In the preview video, he shows up at the office a bit disinterested, but once the therapist reveals that she knows his mother (and does not agree with her parenting philosophies), he becomes all too eager to open up about his familial frustrations.

"I can tell you I don't agree with her theories on child rearing at all," Dr. Gallow confides.

Leonard welcomes the validation.

"Any chance you find them cold, cruel, and unsuitable for little boys who want to be happy?"

Another sneak-peek video for episode 12 reveals that when Leonard goes home to Penny, he is still excited about his therapeutic breakthroughs with Dr. Gallow, but his wife is more concerned with business.

"It was great," Leonard confesses when asked about his session. "I've always been insecure that nobody cares what I have to say."

"Nobody cares," Penny quickly confirms. "Will [Dr. Gallow] see me or not?"

Fortunately for Leonard, when he tells Penny that he did score her a meeting with Dr. Gallow, he gets her to agree to go with him to an upcoming "Dr. Who" convention!

Will Dr. Gallow help improve Leonard's relationship with his mother? Fans will have to wait to find out. "The Big Bang Theory" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
