Blackpink's Lisa Opens Up About Being A Dog Mama: 'It's So Much Work' [Watch]
Blackpink member Lisa Manobal has opened up about her pet dog, revealing that caring for the fur baby involves "so much work."
In addition to her five felines, Lisa recently welcomed a Doberman called Love.
In her recent interview for the "Zach Sang Show," Lisa opened up about how much she loves her new pet. However, she also got real as she talked about how challenging being a dog mama is.
She told the host that being a dog parent entails so much work because dogs are more dependent on humans as opposed to cats that are independent.
"Oh my god, it's so much work. They're not like cats. Cats are good by themselves like, 'Don't touch me, I want my space,'" she said.
The 24-year-old "Money" singer also shared how much attention Love needs compared to her cats.
"He's like a baby. He's like a kid, a child. I think my house got warmer ever since Love came and Lego and Love they’re like best friends," she said.
Lisa said her cats were cold to Love at first but they warmed up to him as the days went by. She also revealed that Love is closest to her cat Lego and the two pets stay close to each other most of the time.
"Lego came to love and they are clinging together," she said.
Lego, a cat from the British shorthair breed, joined Lisa’s home in February and became the fifth member of the brood joining Louis, a gray British shorthair cat, Leo, a Scottish fold cat, and Luca and Lily who are Ragdolls.
Lisa's dog was born in April. In August, she introduced the pup to her fans via an Instagram Story, which has since been posted on Twitter by a fan.
"Lisa said that Love is a Doberman and he is 4 months old," the fan noted in their tweet.
However, no matter how much work being a dog mama comes with, Lisa said she loves Love as much as she loves her cats. She even described the guard dog as "sweet."
The dog is now 7-months-old and according to Lisa, he has become more energetic and affectionate.
"Dogs, it's like dopamine. Love, he's growing every single day. He's getting bigger and bigger but he's so sweet."
