Roseanne Park, also known as Rosé of Blackpink, shared her version of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” as a gift to her fans on her 25th birthday on Friday.

The singer and dancer surprised her supporters, known as BLINKS, with a new cover song which she uploaded on her YouTube channel with the help of her friend, DJ and musician LØREN.

The “How You Like That” artist also shared a photo on her Instagram account announcing her new live rendition of a popular track and wrote, “ 25 (again). A little something for you all on my youtube channel.”

The British rock band’s 2008 hit “Viva La Vida” means “Long Live Life” which Rosé must have deemed appropriate to herald the occasion. She sang her cover of the track with an acoustic guitar courtesy of YG Entertainment's in-house producer LØREN.

The Blackpink's cover of the Coldplay classic amassed over 1.2 million views from fans who cheered her for her “angelic” take on the song.

“When I heard this song I felt like I was in heaven like a Angel (sic) singing your voice is so angelic HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROSÈEE Hope you have a wonderful day _ ILOVE U ,” a fan wrote in the comments section of her YouTube channel.

"This song fits Rosie's voice so well and Rosie's voice is just angelic cause she herself is an angel we love you a lot our Queen,” another fan said.

“Viva La Vida” topped Billboard’s Hot 100 in June 2008. It also took two Grammys as Song of Year and Best Pop Performance by a duo or group with vocals.

Rosé, the Korean-New Zealand singer, is not a stranger to singing covers. She previously sang her own version of Paramore’s “The Only Exception,” Cautious Clay's “Wildfire," Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You” and another Coldplay classic hit, “Fix You,” in a 2020 Instagram Live which she said was a track “that gave me a lot of comfort during my trainee days.”

On Friday, the Blackpink member also uploaded two new covers on her YouTube page, “December” by U.K. band Neck Deep and “Don’t Look Back In Anger” by Oasis.
