Blue Ivy Gets A $200,000 Birthday Party And $80,000 Diamond Encrusted Barbie
Blue Ivy has one of the wealthiest couples as her parents, so it should come as no surprise that they wasted no expense for her first birthday.
Beyonce and Jay-Z’s first child turned one-year-old on Jan. 7, and Radar Online reports that the couple had a $200,000 birthday party, which included a princess-themed celebration in New York.
The birthday cake reportedly cost over $2,000 and the pair splurged on pink and white roses, which cost nearly $100,000.
According to the Daily Mail, Blue Ivy also received a custom-made Barbie doll that has diamond gems and white gold and cost $80,000.
Earlier this month, it was also reported that Blue Ivy has her own nursery in the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, which Jay-Z partially owns. The entrepreneur rented out the luxurious suite at the cost of $1 million a year.
Blue Ivy is already living the good life, as Jay-Z told talk show host Oprah Winfrey earlier this year.
"At the end of the day, I just know I'll probably have the worst, most spoiled little kid ever."
The New York Post reported that the rapper spent $600,000 on a solid-gold, handmade horse from Japanese jeweler Ginza Tanaka, for Blue Ivy, and Beyoncé and Jay-Z allegedly spent $1.5 million on gifts for their daughter when she was first born.
Beyonce earned $35 million in 2011, Forbes reported, and she and her husband were the world’s highest paid couple last year, earning $78 million collectively.
Blue Ivy is not the only one being splurged on either.
The Daily Mail stated that she spent $1 million on a Mercedes van, which, it added, has a full bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. She also bought Jay-Z a luxury plane for Father's Day, valued at $40 million, according to reports.
