Bobbi Kristina Brown Funeral Service: Will Nick Gordon Crash Ceremony?
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was not allowed to see her during her final moments on earth because of contention with the Houston and Brown families, but he wants to make sure he says goodbye at her funeral, Radar Online wrote in an exclusive report Monday. Though Gordon is a person of interest in Bobbi Kristina’s case, which was upgraded to a homicide investigation Monday, he has not been charged with a crime.
He’s “very upset and disturbed” over her death, an unnamed Gordon family member told Radar Online. “We will be coming forward pretty soon, and we all would like to go because we’ve all spent time with Krissi,” the insider said. “We don’t know what will happen with her family, but we hope they’ll put aside their differences for Krissi’s sake.”
Official funeral arrangements for Bobbi Kristina have not been revealed to the public. It was rumored she will be buried near her late mother, pop legend Whitney Houston, at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey, or share a burial plot with her.
Director Tyler Perry will reportedly help with the arrangements, Entertainment Tonight wrote in an exclusive report Monday. They have set aside Saturday, Aug. 1, as a tentative date for the funeral to take place in the Atlanta area. Since she never went to a prom or had a Sweet 16 party, her funeral will be a celebration so she can have "the Sweet 16 she never had,” an insider told ET.
Gordon’s mother, Michele, issued a statement on behalf of her son and her family about Bobbi Kristina’s death Monday. “The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family. Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they’ve been apart,” she said.
Bobbi Kristina was found facedown and unresponsive in a bathtub in her Roswell, Georgia, home on Jan. 31. She remained unconscious for months and was ultimately transferred to hospice care to die “peacefully” on June 24. Tragically, she died at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia, Sunday at the age of 22. Though a preliminary autopsy was performed, a cause of death will not be revealed for several weeks.
