‘Bones’ Season 12 Spoilers: Episode 9 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In ‘The Steel In The Wheels’? [PREVIEW]

When does Fox’s “Bones” get really interesting? When Booth (David Boreanaz), Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Aubrey (John Boyd) go undercover. After an emotional episode last week in which the forensic anthropologist said goodbye to her biological father, it’s time for some laughs and humor.

In “Bones” Season 12, episode 9, the Jeffersonian-FBI team is called to investigate the death of a young man who was killed in a horrendous hay baler accident, per the official synopsis. As the investigation continues, the team realizes that they must go undercover.

Booth, Brennan and Aubrey slap on trashy disguises (see photo below for a sneak peek) and go undercover at a rowdy demolition derby competition to find out information about the murderer.

The promo shows Booth and Aubrey enjoying their undercover operation a little too much. “The whole reason we’re here is to solve a case,” Brennan reminds her husband, “not to pointlessly crash into cars.”

Booth is seen sporting long hair and tinted glasses. He looks hilarious! Brennan is seen wearing loud makeup, garish clothes and extremely frizzy hair. On the other hand, Aubrey looks less gaudy. He only wears a moustache and a red and white colored cap.

However, this won’t be the only case that the team tries to solve. Dr. Gordon Wyatt (Stephen Fry) returns to assist Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) and Cam (Tamara Taylor) on the ongoing Gormogon case. They have hit a dead end and need all the help they can get. Perhaps Wyatt can provide a new perspective on the case.

Interestingly, Boreanaz’s wife Jaime Bregman is also guest-starring in “Bones” Season 12, episode 9. She plays a character named Dawn Skaggs. Very little is known about her character other than her name. However, it will be interesting to see how she interacts with her husband on the show.
