Is ‘Boruto: Naruto Next Generations’ Episode 155 Airing On June 7?

Mitsuki and his cat, Mikatsuki meet an injured man as Team 7 gets a new mission in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 155. However, fans will have to wait a little longer as the show continues to remain on hiatus.

After the coronavirus pandemic hit the world, the anime and manga industries were severely impacted by it. “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” announced that it will remain on hiatus indefinitely.

Twitter user OrganicDinosaur tweeted that Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 26 states that TV Tokyo will broadcast a re-run of “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 6 Sunday (June 7). The episode, which is titled “The Final Lesson” will air instead of episode 155.

The tweet also mentioned that TV Tokyo’s PR might increase on-site work from 20% to 50% as they get ready to re-open capacity.

Another Twitter user Spiralling Sphere, who shares anime news and spoilers, tweeted Sunday (May 31) that “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 155 may air Sunday (June 14). However, it is speculation and may change due to the current coronavirus crisis in Japan.

Earlier, TV Tokyo released a statement announcing the delay due to declaration of the state of emergency in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. Episode 155 and beyond are delayed.

“Thank you for supporting Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Due to the declaration of a State of Emergency for COVID-19 by the Japanese government, the production schedule for new episodes of the program has been impacted. As a result, we will change the broadcast/streaming schedule for newer episodes,” reads the official statement.

The last episode to air in Japan was episode 154 titled “Himawari’s Ninja Trial Session.” In “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 155, Mitsuki and his cat Mikatsuki bumps into a wounded man in an alleyway. Mitsuki decides to help him. As the man recovers, he becomes friends with Mikatsuki. Meanwhile, Team 7 gets a new mission. Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada have to assist the local police department.
