‘Boruto: Naruto Next Generations’ Episode 188 Preview, Spoilers: Kawaki’s Arrival

Kawaki’s sudden appearance in the entire scene seems to have confused Boruto and company, who remain clueless about his identity. "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 188 is set to revolve around Kawaki and his intentions. The new episode is titled "Awakening."
The official preview trailer for the upcoming episode shows Team 7, Katasuke, and Konohamaru carefully monitoring the recent developments concerning Kawaki.
Sarada wonders if Kawaki defeated the puppets alone. They are unaware of his powers as he looks wounded, but none of his injuries are more than just scratches.
Things get interesting when they see the Karma on Kawaki’s palm. It is the same as Boruto and it is likely Team 7 will learn more about it in the forthcoming episodes.
“Boruto & team after overcoming the fierce attacks of Kashin Koji are heading home and on their way, they meet a boy with the same mark as Boruto!?” read the synopsis for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 188, as Abdul Zoldyck tweeted.
In the previous episode, Kashin Koji arrives and attacks Team 7 and the others. Surprisingly, Ao saves Boruto from the attack and receives a fatal blow.
Team 7 is shocked to see Ao saving a shinobi. Later, Koji uses Sealing Jutsu Frog Gulp to paralyze Team 7 and Konohamaru.
However, Konohamaru is able to counter it and release himself to confront Koji. Soon, a battle begins and Konohamaru is surprised to see Koji using Rasengan.
Later, Koji’s Trance of True Flames attack almost kills Konohamaru.
Boruto, who is witnessing his big brother dying, yells at Koji. Suddenly, Boruto’s Karma activates and spreads and this is when Koji finds out the former is Momoshiki’s vessel.
"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 188 is scheduled to air Sunday. The episodes are streaming on Crunchyroll.
