Brad Pitt Praised Jennifer Aniston Months Before Allegedly Cheating With Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt was full of praises for Jennifer Aniston before he allegedly cheated on her with Angelina Jolie.

Pitt and Aniston got married in 2000 and divorced five years later. Many thought that they were perfect for each other because she was America’s Sweetheart and he was the Sexiest Man Alive at the time. Thus, many were saddened when they announced their split.

In 2004, months before they separated, the “Ad Astra” actor had nothing but praises for his then-wife. In fact, he mentioned his “congenital sadness” and how Aniston helped him deal with it.

“Her emphasis is the home, friends, and family. We all kind of crowd around her like moths to the flame. She's like a magnet; she brings a lot of people together that way. Jen's the fireplace; she provides the warmth,” Pitt told Vanity Fair in 2004 before their split in 2005.

The “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” star repeated the same compliment for Aniston when he had an interview with Oprah. The host asked him about his marriage and he described the “Murder Mystery” star as “one of the warmest people” he’s ever met.

“She's like that fire we crowd around for warmth. This is truly genuine,” Pitt said.

“There's not an ill-intention bone on this woman's body. She's really extraordinary and she's taught me a lot that way. She brings people that way.”

However, things immediately changed when Pitt started filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” with Jolie in the same year. In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2006, Aniston recalled her first encounter with the “Maleficent” star.

Aniston said she pulled over and introduced herself to Jolie. She also told her that her husband at the time was excited to work with her. She even wished them to have a good time together.

But Pitt became emotionally unavailable shortly after he met Jolie. In fact, many were convinced that Pitt cheated on Aniston. They were convinced that he fell in love with Jolie in 2004 while he was still married to the “Cake” star.

At the time, Aniston was also struggling because her NBC sitcom “Friends” was about to end. She tried to reach out and ask for her husband’s support, but he was not there.

“It was hard to have such a wonderful constant in your life, a place to go every day, and then all of a sudden it’s not there,” Aniston said about her show ending.

“He just wasn’t there for me,” Aniston added.

Aniston also disclosed that she was shocked when she learned about Pitt and Jolie’s beach photos in Kenya with Maddox. It happened shortly after they announced their separation. Pitt publicly flaunting his instant family with Jolie was humiliating for her.

“I would be a robot if I said I didn’t feel moments of anger, of hurt, of embarrassment,” Aniston confessed.
