Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk remained close after their split, according to a report.
The "A Star is Born" actor, 46, and the Russian model, 35, recently sparked rumors that they may have gotten back together after they were photographed walking arm in arm in New York City last week. But an unnamed source told Us Weekly that the former couple's existing bond "hasn't changed," more than two years after their breakup.
According to the insider, Cooper and Shayk usually spend "a lot of time together" as they co-parent their daughter Lea, 4.
"When Bradley gets breaks from filming, he enjoys being with family," the tipster said. "He and Irina will have dinner together and partake in fun kid-friendly activities that involve their daughter."
The "Silver Linings Playbook" star and his ex-girlfriend are "incredibly close" and have been working on building an "amazing co-parenting relationship," the insider added.
Cooper and Shayk originally started dating in 2015. They welcomed their daughter two years later. They split in 2019 but remained present in each other's lives as they raise their child.
Their split came amid rumors linking Cooper to his "A Star is Born" co-star Lady Gaga following their steamy performance of "Shallow" during the 2019 Oscars.
Last week, the actor finally addressed the speculations surrounding his relationship with Gaga and confirmed that they were just acting at the time.
"Just from a personal standpoint, it reduces the anxiety level," Cooper told The Hollywood Reporter of acting in love on stage. "They kind of fall in love in that scene in the film. It's that explosive moment that happens to them on a stage in front of thousands of people…It would have been so weird if we were both on stools facing the audience."
Gaga also previously shut down the romance rumors when they first made headlines. According to her, what the audience saw was what they wanted them to see as actors.
"We made a love story. For me, as a performer and as an actress, of course we wanted people to believe that we were in love. And we wanted people to feel that love at the Oscars," the "House of Gucci" star told Elle in November 2019.
She continued, "We wanted it to go right through the lens of that camera and to every television that it was being watched on. And we worked hard on it, we worked for days. We mapped the whole thing out—it was orchestrated as a performance."
Cooper and Shayk are both single. She was briefly romantically linked to Kanye West after they were spotted together in France in June. However, the two ended their fling two months later because "they aren't great romantic partners," an unnamed source told Us Weekly.
