Brit Awards 2013: Brits Nominees And Live Stream For UK’s Hottest Award Show And Red Carpet
The countdown for the 2013 Brit Awards is nearly over with just a few hours left until some of the biggest names in the British music industry hit the red carpet.
The ceremony will be broadcast live, hosted by James Corden, at London’s O2 Arena on Wednesday beginning at 20:00 GMT, 3 p.m. EST. Check your local listings for the channel but the awards show is available for live stream below or over at Ustream.com.
Streaming live video by UstreamScottish singer Emeli Sande is up for both the British female solo artist and best British album and slated to win big. Mumford & Sons are up for best British group after winning the album of the year last weekend at the 2013 Grammy Awards. Newcomers Rita Ora will likely snag the British breakthrough artist. The Rolling Stones are also up for best live act, the same year the band celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Adele who is nominated for best British single may or may not show up to the event, according to the BBC, after getting her speech cut short last year. BBC also reported she is rumored to be rehearsing for the Oscars on Sunday.
Robbie Williams, One Direction, Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake will perform and winners will receive a trophy designed by British artist Damien Hirst.
The Brit Awards, often referred to as the Brits since it began in 1977, are the equivalent of the Grammy Awards, honoring musical artists and bands throughout the UK.
