Britney Spears’ Ex Kevin Federline Spent Father’s Day Without Sons, Talks Co-Parenting With Singer

Kevin Federline did not spend Father’s Day with his sons with Britney Spears.

Federline, 39, admitted that co-parenting with pop star ex Spears was not easy. However, things were getting better as it became a routine. “You fall into your routine and it’s really easy now. It wasn’t always easy, but it’s a lot easier now,” he told Bravo.

The professional dancer also revealed that he did not get to celebrate Father’s Day with his sons, Sean, 11, and Jayden, 10, but this was not new to him at all. He said he understands that there has to be adjustments when one is co-parenting with an ex.

“I’m used to not having all my kids, and this is gonna be one of those years,” said Federline. “When you are co-parenting, you have to be willing to give up some of the things you would really like to do. My boys will be gone, their mom’s off in Asia on tour. They are with me until the 15th, and then they are gone for the rest of the month. So I won’t have the boys for Father’s Day.”

Federline is a father to six children already, and over time parenting has become easier for him. In fact, he admitted that he could probably change a diaper with one hand and feed a kid with the other at the same time.

Spears’ ex also shared his routine when the children are with him. According to Federline, he gets up by 6:30 a.m. to get the kids ready and take them to school. When they are at home, he makes sure their assignments get done. They then eat dinner together before the kids shower and go to bed.

Spears and Federline got married in September 2004, just five months after they first met. The “Toxic” singer admitted in a documentary that she made a mistake in marrying the dancer. “I think I married for the wrong reasons,” Spears said, as quoted by Daily Mail. “Instead of following my heart and doing something that made me really happy, I just did it for the idea of everything.”

According to Yahoo, Spears proposed to Federline just a few months after she married and separated from her childhood sweetheart, Jason Alexander. Her first marriage was annulled just 55 hours later. The proposal happened while they were on the road for a tour in Europe. During their big day, they only invited 30 or so guests. Apparently, most of their guests had thought that they were attending an engagement, but to their surprise, it was already Spears’ wedding.
