Brooklyn Beckham Meets Stephen Hawking; Family Enjoys Cambridge Weekend

It was Brooklyn Beckham’s turn to meet the legendary physicist Stephen Hawking on Monday, as the Beckhams enjoyed a family day in Cambridge, England. His mom and dad, Victoria and David Beckham, had the pleasure just a couple weeks ago. The eldest child of the couple shared the special moment with his fans on Instagram. “What an honor to meet Stephen Hawking. Such an inspiring afternoon,” wrote the 16-year-old alongside the photo of him smiling happily behind the professor.

Along with the very special meeting, the Beckhams enjoyed some family time while in the beautiful university city. They even took a trip down the River Cam, according to Hello. The Beckham brood was accompanied by Victoria's parents, Tony and Jackie Adams, and her older sister, Louise. The family made the most of the bank holiday weekend as they relaxed on the Cambridge waters. While the retired soccer player took to one boat with his three boys Brooklyn, Romeo, 12; and Cruz, 10; his parents-in-law, wife, wife's sister and 3-year-old Harper rode in another.

David Beckham, who recently celebrated his 40th birthday by opening an Instagram account, shared a series of photos of the river ride. One photograph saw the dad-of-four looking as sharp as ever as he took charge of the boat, steering with a pole. “A day on the punting pole,” he captioned the picture. Another stunning shot of the river flowing beneath a bridge surrounded by historic buildings could be mistaken for a scene from Venice, Italy. David let the image do all the talking, writing no caption. Of a snap of himself perched on the edge of the boat, David wrote: “Amazing day punting in Cambridge.”

The family took the opportunity to meet theoretical physicist Hawking during their visit to Cambridge. David revealed his joy at the greeting he received from the physicist when they met for the first time. The former England soccer captain took to social media to share the moment with fans as he posted an image onto his Instagram page. David could be seen sitting next to the famous scientist, while a close-up of Hawking's message could be seen on the monitor in front of them. Victoria was seen standing behind her husband.
