South Korea’s boy band BTS’ “Fake Love” has surpassed one billion views on YouTube and the musical group's fans or ARMY marked the occasion with a celebration on Twitter.

On Wednesday, BTS’ 2018 hit "Fake Love" became its fifth song to achieve the 1 billion views milestone following its other tracks which achieved the same feat such as “DNA,” “Boy With Luv,” “Dynamite,” and “Mic Drop (Steve Aoki remix).

BTS ARMY flooded Twitter with congratulatory messages for the boy band's achievement.

“We did it Army..Congratulations @bts_bighit 1 B in Fake love... #FakeLove1B CONGRATULATIONS BTS We Love BTS,” one of the group's fans wrote in a tweet.

Another fan reminisced about a younger Jungkook as she rejoiced over the song’s entry into the “1 Billion club” by writing: “As Fake Love joins the 1 Billion club, let’s bring this iconic Jungkook back!”

“Fake love was truly a masterpiece #Fakelove1B,” one Twitter user stated.

“Fake Love” was included in the album, “Love Yourself: Tear,” which won the Golden Disc Award in 2019 and the MYX Music Award for the International Video of the year also in 2019. It was also hailed as Best Pop Song in the 2019 Korean Music Awards.

The song is described as an electropop, grunge-rock track that discusses a love that was thought to be pure but later turned out to be fake.

Before the song reached one billion views on YouTube, ARMYs nudged each other on the microblogging platform to do their part to help the song reach the milestone.

“Guys, only 3M more until Fake Love reaches 1B views!! Please stream it!!,” Twitter handle @JeonSmhh posted.

And just before the song hit the billion status, another fan lauded the teamwork that ARMYs are known for.

“When ARMY works together, anything is possible. Last time, I saw its (sic) was 500k left for 1 billion but now look…Wow..#fakelove #BTS,” Twitter user @savage_btss tweeted.

In 2018, the Bangtan Boys delivered an unforgettable performance of “Fake Love” at the Billboard Music Awards where they took home the Top Social Artist Award for the second consecutive year.

Meanwhile, it seems like another BTS hit is also headed for the one billion club. Twitter handle @USBTSARMY which describes itself as the “first USA fanbase for BTS” called for support to the song “Idol” which currently has over 996 million views.

“#BTSARMY – While we’re celebrating another Hot100 & ‘Fake Love’ hitting 1 Billion, ‘Idol’ is less than 4 million views from smashing the BILLION mark as well!!! Can we hit a BILLION twice in one day?" it stated.
