BTS' 'Butter' Garners 110 Million Streams, Earns New Title On Spotify

BTS' latest track "Butter" has reached another milestone after surpassing 100 million streams eight days after its official release on Spotify.
The K-pop supergroup's second English-language track garnered a total of 110.481 million streams on Spotify as of May 28, according to Forbes. Consequently, "Butter" was declared as the fastest song to ever hit 100 million streams in the history of the popular music streaming platform.
The new BTS track was also streamed more than 99 million times on Spotify during its first seven days, despite the fact that the music streaming platform heavily filtered plays for "Butter" when tabulating its "official" total, the publication added.
"Butter" officially garnered more than 11 million global streams during its first 24 hours, which is the biggest song debut ever and the ninth-biggest single-day total in the history of Spotify.
Additionally, the official music video of BTS' new song earned the biggest premiere and the biggest 24-hour debut on YouTube. The "Butter" MV drew over 3.9 million concurrent viewers and more than 108 million views on its first day.
The "Butter" music video has so far collected more than 266.9 million views, more than 16 million likes and 6.7 million comments on YouTube. It also occupies the No. 1 spot on YouTube's trending list for music.
Meanwhile, BTS graced the Summer Concert Series of "Good Morning America" Friday. The South Korean septet performed their award-winning English-language tracks "Dynamite" and "Butter" during its virtual guesting.
BTS first performed "Butter." During their breathtaking number, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, RM and V, who donned matching all-white outfits, danced and sang on a sleek white set adorned only with a huge screen behind them.
The K-pop group then performed "Dynamite" on the same stage. This time, the platform was decorated with giant umbrellas, hammocks and beach chairs before transforming into a desertscape.
Ahead of its trending performance, BTS opened up to "Good Morning America" about the undeniable success of "Butter." "It feels great to see people around the world enjoy it so much," group leader RM said.
