Bud Light Launched A Pumpkin Spice Hard Seltzer But Not Everyone Is Sold On The Idea
Bud Light has introduced its fall hard seltzer lineup, which includes a pumpkin spice flavor that has some fans of the brewer wondering if they would actually drink it.
Bud Light debuted the Pumpkin Spice Hard Seltzer in what it is calling a Fall Flannel variety pack that also includes Toasted Marshmallow, Maple Pear, and Apple Crisp Hard Seltzers varieties. The Apple Crisp Hard Seltzer was previously released with the 2020 Ugly Sweater variety pack and brought back specifically to be included in the Flannel flavor pack.
According to Bud Light, the limited-edition variety pack “brings the ultimate tastes of autumn” with the Pumpkin Spice Seltzer featuring pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla flavors.
But some Bud Light seltzer fans are skeptical.
Two users responded to the announcement by calling the drinks “gross.” Another critic of the seltzer said, “This is disgraceful.”
But many seltzer drinkers appear to be enthusiastic about the Pumpkin Spice beverage and can’t wait to get their hands on it.
One seltzer lover said on Twitter, “Pumpkin Spice all the way,” while a lover of all things pumpkin spice said, “Gimme an IV of that Pumpkin Spice.”
Yet another seltzer consumer said, “Pumpkin Spice sounds so good.”
Seltzer drinkers are also excited about the other flavors in the Flannel pack.
The Toasted Marshmallow beverage tastes of sweet marshmallows with a hint of chocolate flavor that is paired with seltzer and the Maple Pear pairs maple syrup and pear flavors with seltzer.
The Apple Crisp Hard Seltzer will once again offer the flavors of apple pie and seltzer.
The seltzers are sold in 12-ounce slim cans in a 12-pack and will be available nationwide starting on Sept. 6 through the end of October. The seltzers are made with cane sugar, natural flavors, and have 100 calories or less, with 1 gram of sugar and an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 5%.
“Since launching Bud Light Seltzer, we have continued to disrupt the seltzer category by expanding our portfolio with unexpected and delicious flavors,” Andy Goeler, vice president of marketing at Bud Light, said in a statement.
“We’re excited to bring our limited-edition Fall Flannel variety pack to the market, giving consumers a new innovation that is inspired by the season and perfect for all autumn occasions.”
